Working with Cornerstones International

What to expect, from day one

Choosing a curriculum partner is one of the most significant decisions a school makes. It affects teachers, children, parents and the school’s identity. It deserves a careful, honest process, and a partner who will be straightforward about whether they are the right fit.

This is what working with Cornerstones International looks like.

What to expect, from day one
It starts with a conversation

It starts with a conversation, not a sales pitch

The first step is a free curriculum conversation with a member of the Cornerstones International team. We listen first. We want to understand your school, your timetable, your staff, your community, your current curriculum and your priorities for the year ahead.

We will ask honest questions and give honest answers. If your current curriculum is working well and the main thing you need is a delivery platform, we will let you know. If there are gaps or coherence risks that Cornerstones can help with, we will identify them clearly.

No obligation. No pressure. Just a genuinely useful conversation.

A curriculum audit, if you want one

For schools that want a clearer picture before making any decisions, we offer a free curriculum audit, a structured review of your current curriculum setup that gives you an honest assessment of where you are strong and where the gaps are.

The audit covers curriculum coherence and progression, the consistency of implementation across year groups, subject coverage and sequencing, and how well-placed your school is for the 2028 curriculum changes.

Most schools find the audit genuinely useful regardless of what they decide next. It gives leaders a clear, shared language for discussing their curriculum and a prioritised set of next steps they can act on, with or without Cornerstones.

Onboarding that sets schools up properly

Onboarding that sets schools up properly

When a school joins Cornerstones International, we do not hand over a login and wish them well. Onboarding is a structured process designed to make sure every teacher and leader in the school has what they need to use the curriculum confidently from day one.

That includes access to Maestro, the online platform where the full curriculum, planning tools, resources, timetabling, and assessment live, along with training sessions tailored to the school’s context, adviser support through the first term, and guidance on introducing the curriculum to parents and the wider school community.

For schools making the switch from another curriculum approach, we also offer transition support, helping leaders map what they currently have against the Cornerstones framework and plan a phased implementation that does not disrupt teaching.

Sustained support, not a one-off sale

Cornerstones International is not a subscription service that schools renew once a year and largely manage on their own. It is a curriculum partnership, and partnerships take sustained investment on both sides.

Every partner school has access to our curriculum advisers every weekday from 8am to 4pm UK time. CPD and webinar content are regularly updated and free to access. When the 2028 curriculum changes arrive, we update the curriculum; schools do not have to track, interpret or implement the changes themselves.

We measure our success by how well your school is doing. That means we are invested in your long-term improvement, not just at the point of sale.

Flexible access

Flexible access

Cornerstones International is designed to work for schools at different stages of their curriculum journey.

Some schools adopt the Cornerstones curriculum as their complete primary curriculum from Nursery to Year 6. Others start with a single subject, perhaps science, history, or art and design, and build from there at a pace that works for their school. Some use Cornerstones alongside existing curriculum partners or internally built resources to fill coherence gaps or strengthen specific areas without disrupting what is already working.

For schools that are mid-contract with another provider, or that need to retain locally mandated subjects within a different framework, subject-by-subject access means the Cornerstones journey can begin now rather than waiting for the right moment to switch everything at once.

The approach that works best for your school is the one worth taking. We will help you work out what that looks like.
